This is a weekly segment dedicated to finding the top new apps on iOS and Android. I’m passionate about new apps and tools that help you achieve your passion every day.
Here are three Apps, that I’m impressed with this week. These apps are all centred around journalling applications to use every day to log your day.
Day One 2 Diary + Journal (iOS) (€4.99)
Monitoring your progress somehow, as well as tending to your psychological health is so important and crucial to constant improvement. Many people do this without the use of technology. However, many apps offer an impressive experience when doing so. Day One is one of that application, at its heart it is a journal and diary application, but allows to capture personal moments and progresses that goes beyond the page.
- Upload journal entries
- View a timeline of your entries
- Add photos + create galleries.
- Add location to each entry
- Manage and view your calendar
I used Day One for one year in 2012 and was stunned at how useful the experiment was, I recommend trying journaling for 30 days. You can also take notes on Day One, which is great.
Download on iOS.
Mood Notes: Thought Journal (£2.99)
Mood Notes is a way to monitor your notes across your day, helping you track the ups and downs of your life. Perfect for those looking to analyse their feelings and manage their emotional activities. This can be a fantastic way to develop yourself, by capturing these moments.
- Add your mood using gestures
- Track all your mood notes
- Add notes to each mood
- Add locations
- Analyse your thoughts and feelings
This app is £2.99 however really well-designed. Worth it!
Download on iOS and Android for £2.99.
Grid Diary (iOS, Android) (FREE)
Gratitude every day is another mantra that many uses to keep grateful for the small things, and big things. I have been using this over the last week and have been impressed; the user experience is easy and the experience, fun and interactive.
- Upload your thoughts and feelings
- Add new questions to track
- Personalise your templates/menu
- Archive of questions/prompts
- Add photos and locations to your memories.
Beautifully organised, and a perfect way to start your morning, I’m looking forward to sharing my experience with GRID diary, I also expected it to be a paid app but it isn’t (only a PRO mode).
Download on iOS and Android.
